专家谈“H7N9禽流感”

Four more people in East China have been confirmed to be infected with the H7N9 bird fluvirus, as a nationwide screening program has been launched for the rare but lethalstrain.

中国东部省份江苏省已确诊出现四例H7N9禽流感病例，针对此罕见致命病毒，中国已在全国范围内开展监测行动。

Cases of H7N9 Bird Flu have been discovered in Shanghai and Anhui, with two deaths, and the other Anhui case being critically ill. The exact source of the infection for the 3 individuals is still unclear. The National Health and Family Planning Commission indicated that these H7N9 Avian Influenza viruses are a newly-discovered subtype of the influenza virus.

上海和安徽发现人感染H7N9禽流感病例，其中两例死亡，另一例安徽患者病危。3例患者的具体感染来源尚不清楚。国家卫计委表示，此次人感染的H7N9禽流感病毒，是全球首次发现的新亚型流感病毒。

Hong Kong University Center for Infectious Diseases Director He Bailiang says the past human cases of bird flu that have appeared on the mainland mostly belong to the H5 category. “This instance of transmission to humans is rather unusual, and may very likely show that this strain of avian influenza virus has already mutated.

香港大学感染及传染病中心总监何栢良表示，过去内地出现的人类感染禽流感类型，主要属于H5类别。“这次传染给人类是属于比较特殊的情况，很可能显示出这个品种的禽流感病毒在相关地方已出现流行病学上的转变。”

As for whether or not it is related to the large number of dead pigs that appeared in Shanghai’s Huangpu River, He Bailiang says there isn’t enough evidence or basis to comment on whether the two are related, but in light of the Shanghai 27-year-old male victim having been a pork vendor, the relevant mainland departments ought to collect specimens from the dead pigs and test for whether or not they contain avian influenza virus.

至于是否与上海黄浦江出现大批的死猪有关，何栢良表示没有足够的证据基础评论两者是否有关系，但鉴于上海27岁死亡男子是一名猪肉商贩，内地的相关部门有必要采集死猪的样本，化验是否存在禽流感病毒。
